Brian Kasirye played in the men’s single; beat Adham Hatem Elgamal (Egypt) in the semi finals. He however lost to Nigeria’s Anuoluwapo Juwon Opeyori in the finals.
The final game ended in 45 minutes, 21-14, 23-21. Nigeria took the gold while Uganda stayed the silver home.
“Although I lost the final, I am happy to reach this far because it is my best performance ever on international scene, ” said happy Kasirye.
The president of the Badminton Confederation Africa(BCA)- Michael Bau thanked Uganda for hosting successful games.
