Vivo energy confirms a fire outbreak at their Kampala depot located on 7th Street industrial area when a fuel truck burst into flames injuring many, on Wednesday afternoon.

The Shell fuel and lubricants distributor and marketer is still silent about how many causalities but confirm containment of fire and the general situation as ambulances rushed causalities to hospital.

Reports however sound an alarm that 3(three) of those injured are in intensive care, 1(one) in the high dependency unit and 8 (eight) others being treated with minor injuries.

Val Oketcho, communications manager Vivo Energy Kampala encourages the public to stay calm as investigations are still running and they will be able to give a detailed report of cause and number of casualties with help from the police as soon as possible.
