The police in Arua city have arrested three workers of the Arua Regional Hospital for allegedly stealing components of an X-ray equipment.
The West Nile Region Police Spokesperson-Josephine Angucia has identified the 3 suspects as, Alex Okello and Bernard Olul who are storekeepers, Billington Abila who is a radiographer.
The three suspects were arrested on Tuesday after Hillary Onziga , in charge TB ward and X-ray machine reported to the police the missing components.
Abila is reported to have taken X-ray components including, laptop, a Samsung galaxy tablet to a financial institution in Arua city to secure a loan worth 1.2 million shillings.
The x-ray and its components were donated to the hospital by the Uganda Catholic Medical Bureau(UCMB), the technical arm of the Health Commission of the Uganda Episcopal Conference for TB Management.
